Who I am
My name is Nick. Born in ’94 and graduate of Southern Alberta Institue of Technology’s Information Technology diploma program.
I like all things tech, but my main interest is in computer systems and how we can continue breaking down barriers to develop new solutions to focus on continuous improvement. My interest in IT began with android OS modifications, which taught me that as long as you can imagine the change, you can implement it if you have the understanding of the foundation it is built on.
Currently I spend more of my time playing video games and playing music. I have been playing bass guitar since junior high and played in a couple different bands. Other interests of mine can easily be classified as nerdy or geeky hobbies. I have been painting and playing Warhammer 40k since I was young, recently started playing Magic: The Gathering, and have been dipping my toes in Dungeons&Dragons a little bit over the covid years.
My newest discovery has been learning how to cook more delicious food. I really enjoy cooking and the reactionary nature of it. I like learning how to cook different types of dishes and experimenting to produce different outcomes.

Another big part of my life is my (8 year old) puppy, Gracie. She is my world and I don’t know what I would do without her. Taking her walking and swimming are some of the happiest moments I have. She is my smart happy girl.
